Mission Statement
The mission of the Human Concerns Committee of St. Joan of Arc Parish is to fulfill the parish mission through dynamic interaction involving parish and the greater community by:

Providing education on social issues;

Identifying areas of related needs;

Responding to and Supporting actions to meet those needs;
According to scripture and Catholic Social Teaching.

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00 in the parish community room.
Committee Description:
The Human Concerns Committee gathers monthly, in prayerful consideration of its purpose. Working with the pastor and parish staff, committee members and others from the community discern parish and community needs, identify resources and respond to meet those needs.
Important work of the committee has included organizing monthly food drives, Christmas giving and providing outreach grants to local, national and international non-profits serving those in need. In addition, the community researches volunteer opportunities for parish members wishing to serve those in need directly.
